Once Upon a Time...
there was a museum volunteer who found herself saying, "I want to work in a museum! Now what?" After extensive questioning of the museum staff; research into museum studies programs and careers in the museum field; completing a Museum Studies Certificate Program and working on a Graduate Degree - she felt she had to find a way to bring these resources to anyone out there who dreams about working in a museum - but doesn't know where to start. So, with a passion for sharing resources and a knack for working into the wee hours of the morning, her wish came true when she created this network for all of you!
Here is to the museum volunteers, the students on field trips (and the teachers who take them), future curators, exhibit designers & developers, fabricators, registrars, and behind-the-scenes miracle workers... And to the passionate museum visitors who visit our museums... this site is dedicated to you!
